Dr. Michael
Dr. Forrester is a Board-Certified General Paediatrician. He completed his undergraduate Medical training at McMaster University, and Paediatric residency training at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He also holds a PhD in Microbiology & Immunology from Dalhousie University.
In his early years, Dr. Forrester was inspired to work both as a doctor and a researcher – in memory of his sister, Liane. But ultimately, he felt greater joy and sense of purpose sitting with families in the clinic, rather than sitting with test tubes at the lab bench.
Dr. Forrester’s passion for Paediatric medicine comes from a deep desire to advocate for more inclusive healthcare, with a focus on well-being and illness prevention. He wants families to feel confident in caring for their child, and he wants that confidence to be accessible to all families.
Michael, his wife, and their 2 beautiful (and hilarious) children live in Burlington. Little by little, he is learning to slow down and enjoy the quiet moments in life.
