Dr. Alex is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and a fellow of the Royal college of physicians and surgeons of Canada with over 20 years of experience in Pediatric Medicine.
She earned her medical degree from the University of Juan N. Corpas and completed her residency training at Javeriana University, both in Bogotá, Colombia.
Dr. Alex’s commitment to children’s health motivated her to seek advanced training in Pediatric Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine through two fellowships at The Hospital for Sick Children.
After serving as an instructor and mentor for undergraduate and pediatric resident students at McMaster Children’s hospital, Dr. Alex is transitioning to a role as community pediatrician.
Dr. Alex is passionate about family-centered care, is fluent in Spanish, and enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and hiking.
